The Conjuring Movie Review

PLOT Carolyn (Lily Taylor) and Roger Perron  with their 5 daughters move into a  Rhode Island farmhouse. Strange things start happening in and around the house at night. Turns out, it's not just fear that's playing hide-and-seek with their minds.

TOI Rating : 3.5/5

 Review
Finely crafted film & will spook the faint hearten and would amuse the brave-hearts. Go watch it.
Most horror films claim to be 'based on real life incidents'.
While they rarely live up to the hype around them, The Conjuring is an exception. The atmosphere build-up begins even before the film does, as a disclaimer is flashed before the opening credits, warning you that you might seek psychological help after watching the movie. The strategy works, as the film can scare the living daylights out of you. While we didn't feel the need to undergo any counselling, unsettling it certainly was.
Good, decent horror flick. They have not tried to overdo the horror thing and managed to make it creepy and realistic . The best part about the movie is that you feel for the characters, empathize with them, understand their pain and that is not a easy feat for a horror movie. Vera Farmiga and Patrick Wilson have played Warrens with perfection. Technically, a good movie. It plays and works on your mind.
